The New York Giants are alone atop the NFC East Division with three wins in four games. The Dallas Cowboys, who came into the week one game back, have already dropped another game behind the division leading Giants with their home loss last night to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles, who have lost two straight games, are underdogs against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. They started this week a full game behind the Giants and are likely to lose their third straight game.

How good is this for New York’s first-year Head Coach John Harbaugh?

And how unexpected is it in light of the Giants losing their starting quarterback for the season when Jaxson Dart went down with a season ending knee injury during second week action on the road against the Los Angeles Rams? Without Dart, the Giants went on to lose a lopsided decision, 28-6, to Matthew Stafford and company, but have now won the past two weeks.

The Giants had such high hopes for their second-year signal caller, and he looked great in the Giants season opening win over the Cowboys. The coaching of Harbaugh and his staff along with a year under his belt seemed to turn Dart from a rookie with promise to a second-year pro ready to lead his team into the postseason.

Those dreams were doused by his season ending injury.
