Weather will not be a factor around the National Football League sites today as the 14 games on today’s and tonight’s schedule will play in comfortable fall conditions.
The weather is calm, and the league’s attempt to get a season played during a worldwide pandemic has reached the second Sunday of regular season play without a hitch. No team has reported a virus breakout on their squad, and despite the 32 teams beginning play last week without the benefit of a preseason, the play on the field was surprisingly clean.
Defenses knew their assignments, receivers ran their patterns as well as we have come accustomed to them this early in a campaign, and offenses were sharper than most, including me, expected.
The public had a good week against the books in Week One, winning their three most bet games with favorites covering the spreads in contests that saw the Seattle Seahawks beat the Atlanta Falcons on the road, the Buffalo Bills open with a home win against the New York Jets, and the Baltimore Ravens crush the Cleveland Browns at M&T Bank Stadium.
Today, as is typical for the betting public, they are again backing three favorites. The three most bet games by the public today are the Baltimore Ravens (-7) over Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills (-5½) over Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs (-8) over Los Angeles Chargers.
Qoxhi has four rated point spread plays today and they are now posted on this site. If a Bullet Play develops in the final hour leading up to the day’s first kickoff, that selection will be added to the list of recommendations at 9:45 a.m. Pacific Time.
