Rain is in the forecast for today’s contest at Lambeau Field when the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions square off to determine first place in the NFC North Division race. Rain is also predicted for tomorrow’s night game in Kansas City when the Chiefs host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but for the rest of today’s games played outside, the weather is mostly clear.

The Lions game today against the Packers is the first time this year the Lions will play an outdoor game. If we knew that Green Bay Quarterback Jordan Love had recovered from his groin injury to not only start the game, but equally important be able to play well the entire afternoon, the Packers would be a choice here.

But betting on a quarterback with a groin injury one week after he was forced out of action with the injury is not a solid proposition. Malik Willis has filled in well, won both his starts and engineered the winning drive last Sunday in Jacksonville, but would he be perhaps more challenged against the Lions talented defense.

The Buffalo Bills are running away with the AFC South Division race while winning 75% of their games and building a more than three game lead over the rest of the division. Today, they host the Miami Dolphins, who have played most of the season without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and have been overmatched without him behind center.

In the two games he started before suffering an injury when the Bills and Dolphins met in Miami in second week action, he led a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and got blown out by Josh Allen and company, 31-10.

Now, seven weeks later, the Bills have risen to a first place standing that is not threatened and the Dolphins are coming off a home loss in Tua’s first game back against the Arizona Cardinals. Here is the rub, the Dolphins in Tua’s first game back were in a tough motivational spot as a favorite. Today, against a division opponent that already blew them out this year and looking down the abyss of having their season hopes for a playoff berth pretty much ended at midseason, are perfectly primed for their best game of the season.

The public doesn’t agree with our choice of the Dolphins over the Bills, their top three games this week begin with the Bills (-6) over the Dolphins. Their next two most bet games are the Washington Commanders (-4) over the New York Giants and Detroit Lions (-3) over Green Bay Packers.

The Qoxhi Week Nine money rated selections are now posted on this site, and if a Bullet Play develops in the final hour before the day’s first kickoff, that game will be added to the list of recommendations by 9:45 a.m.
