At the ten outdoor National Football League venues today the weather remains for the sixth week mostly mild. Overcast in a couple locations but no wind or rain forecast at any of the game sites.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, common participants in postseason play, are this year alone in last place in their divisions. The Seattle Seahawks are also in last place in the NFC West, sharing a 2-3 record with the San Francisco 49ers and trailing the 5-0 Arizona Cardinals and 4-1 Los Angeles Rams.
The Cardinals have been perched at the top of the league as the only undefeated team for two weeks, and following back-to-back division wins to extend their unbeaten mark to 5-0, they meet a Browns team that has lost twice this year. The Browns are a game behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North Division, turning this game into highly needed from the Browns perspective. The Cardinals have the possibility of extending their unbeaten string serving as a motivator.
Need versus want consistently lands with the team most in need.
The New York Giants host the Rams today and the public and wise guys are on opposite sides. Which one do you want?
The public is lining up more than 80% on the Rams giving the points. The percentage backing the Rams was even higher for backing Los Angeles when the line was first released with the Rams favored by 10½ points. This morning, the Giants are only getting 8 points on the spread. The wise guys got the New York with double-digits, but you can still have a wise guy side with the Giants today.
The three favorite plays by the public for Week Six NFL action are the Dallas Cowboys (-3½) over New England Patriots; Kansas City Chiefs (-6½) over Washington; Green Bay Packers (-6) over the Chicago Bears.
As for the Qoxhi picks this week, those games are now posted on this site and if a Bullet Play develops in the final hour leading up to 10:00 a.m. kickoffs, that game will be added to the list of recommendations by 9:45 a.m. Pacific Time.
